Galvin’s in Georgetown

Galvin’s in Georgetown Kentucky has the best fish sandwich that I have ever eaten. As you know we have traveled the east coast from Main to the Florida Keys. I have eaten at very high-end restaurants and some places that I questioned myself about going into. I love fried fish and will often get fish and chips or a fish sandwich. While in Georgetown Kentucky, we were told about a really good restaurant which served great pizza and sandwiches. So, we decided to try it out.

The menu had pizza, wraps, salads, sandwiches and more. I think anyone would be able to find something that they would enjoy, The restaurant is very nice and gives a feeling of stepping back in time to a different era.

We arrived at a good time. The lunch crowd had left, and the dinner crows had not yet started to arrive. Before we left, we found that Galvin’s in Georgetown, Kentucky is a happening place. The empty tables in the photo above were filled with people. As for the food. My wife got the grilled chicken salad.

I ordered the fish sandwich which i Had been told about.

The photo fails to do it justice. Galvin’s in Georgetown has sandwich which needs to be cut in two to eat, served with homemade chips. Had the fish not been good I would have written about the chips alone. As I have said about other places, if you are in the area you may want to try this place.

Flavortown

Flavortown in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is the most unique places that I have ever seen or eaten at. It is like a mix of Disney and Vagas for families.

Flavortown was a concept of Guy Fieri’s. In the ads Guy says come and play with your food and he means it. Inside the restaurant you will find a bowling alley.

A large arcade area.

Either of these should entertain the kids and or the adults too. Speaking of the adults, Guy did not leave them out. The restaurant has a nice area where you can sit and watch sports on wide screen TV. Unlike sports bars Guy has created small areas for families or groups. Each with it’s own TV,

The adults also have a Tiki Bar to visit if they wish to relax and talk to other adults.

I almost forgot, Flavortown is a Restuarant. It has a wide selection of seatings.

A nice menu with a wide selection to choose from.

A view of the staff preparing the orders.

We went a little pass noon and were not really that hungry. I guess we mainly wanted to see Flavortown. We ordered the Trash Can Nachos. The nachos are a must if you go. The presentation is fun and the food was great.

If you are a fan of Food Network and of Guy Fieri, then you will have no problem seeing Flavortown as a creation of Guy’s.
