Burlington, Vermont is a great place to visit. After leaving the old French and Indian War forts in New York we drove to Burlington, Vermont.  We stayed at the Hilton located on Lake Champlain,

While looking at Burlington we kept seeing things about Church Street.  The Hilton was only a few blocks from Church Street, so we decided to walk there for our dinner.  Church Street is a great place to visit it is several blocks of restaurants and shops. We found one of many restaurants with outdoor seating, which had a menu that looked good to us.

The food was great, and we enjoyed the view of Church Street.

After a good meal we walked around the looking at other restaurants and shops. Church Street has over one hundred of them to visit. We then returned to the Hilton and enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and talking to other guests.

Cate’s at Bolton Landing is a good example of the difference in Lake George and Bolton Landing. The streets are very tight with parking on both sides, but the closeness of everything gives a feeling of being a part. You just feel at home in Bolton Landing. Cate’s is right on the street, When you sit there you are a part of everything.

Cate’s has really great Italian food. I had the Lasagna.  The menu says that it is a local favorite and I can see why it was really good.

My wife had the Chicken Marsala and really enjoyed it.

The amount of food was unbelievable. I seldom leave anything behind but on this trip to Cate’s at Bolton Landing, I could not eat it all. Cate’s menu is family friendly, but the restaurant is also very nice for couples wanting a night out.

We were rusted due to my trip planning and did not get to stay as long as we would have liked. When we visit the Lake George area again we hope to stay at the same VRBO and to try more of the restaurants in the area.
