Cate’s at Bolton Landing is a good example of the difference in Lake George and Bolton Landing. The streets are very tight with parking on both sides, but the closeness of everything gives a feeling of being a part. You just feel at home in Bolton Landing. Cate’s is right on the street, When you sit there you are a part of everything.

Cate’s has really great Italian food. I had the Lasagna.  The menu says that it is a local favorite and I can see why it was really good.

My wife had the Chicken Marsala and really enjoyed it.

The amount of food was unbelievable. I seldom leave anything behind but on this trip to Cate’s at Bolton Landing, I could not eat it all. Cate’s menu is family friendly, but the restaurant is also very nice for couples wanting a night out.

We were rusted due to my trip planning and did not get to stay as long as we would have liked. When we visit the Lake George area again we hope to stay at the same VRBO and to try more of the restaurants in the area.

While on this trip we stayed at a VRBO at Lake George { Vacation Rental by Owner.} The house was in the Bolton Landing area just North of Lake George on the western side of the lake. The house which is managed by Scott was great and everything we needed was there. I have stayed at VRBO and Air B&Bs before and have always enjoyed them. it’s nice to have the kitchen where you can fix your breakfast and coffee and not having to go out to eat every meal.

When you enter the house you come into the kitchen area.

From the kitchen you walk into the living room and get your first view of the lake.

To the right is steps to the loft.

The loft has sleeping as well as a place to watch TV or play games.

The rest of the house includes three bedroom and two baths.

As you can see Scott keeps the place clean and well stocked.

Now to the place I liked best.  The back of the house looked out at the lake and we enjoyed sitting there drinking our coffee and listening to the birds. We had wild turkeys, Ruffed Grouse and Loons visiting us during our stay.

The house also had a fire pit, but we never had time to use it.  So if you are looking for a VRBO at Lake George, you may want to look at Bolton Landing and have them fix you up.
