Hillbilly Hotdogs

Hillbilly Hotdogs

One Saturday I decided to take my wife to Hillbilly Hotdogs. Having read a few of my post, you know I  like food. I have loved hotdogs as long as I can remember. So I decided to take her to one of the best Hotdog places in America.

I am sure the entrance had her sold on the place. I then showed her the outdoor dinning

At last we saw the restaurant standing before us. I don’t know about you but I think this place screams “Food Network” .

This is it

When I entered, I saw the menu and a smiling face waiting to answer any questions and/or take my order. I placed our order and then put some money into the tip jar. Never have I seen such an expression of gratitude in my life.  When you go and I know you will, you must put a dollar in the tip jar.

The seating comes in to levels. I chose the upper level seating.

Yes it is a school bus

After finding a nice seat on the old bus, we waited a very short time to get our food.

This is the reason for my trip. All kidding aside they have great food. I wish I could have shown more pictures of the place. Go and have fun they are at:

Marblehead Lighthouse

Marblehead Lighthouse

Marblehead Lighthouse is not you standard Lighthouse.

I drove a little northeast of Salem to the Marblehead Lighthouse. The lighthouse was not what I had expected. I found instead of the towering white stone that I expected, a large metal structure.

Even though the lighthouse was not what we were looking for the park is worth the trip. We love the well cared for area around the lighthouse.  It made a great place to have lunch.

I enjoyed the beautiful view of the harbor and the boats in it.

We did not find the lighthouse that we were looking for but we did find a beautiful place to visit. I will add as a side note that we drove through an old town on the way to the lighthouse. I would think that it would be Marblehead.  The town was great.  It was like a page from history. I do plan to return and explore the town, when I can.
